How was he put on paid leave and not sent to jail? They obviously have witnesses that say he killed him, why is he not in prison?
Because they also have witnesses who say Redus resisted arrest, argued with the cop for several minutes, attempted to strike the cop, and refused to comply with multiple requests from the cop (Carter asked him to stop resisting arrest 56 times), including a recording from the cop’s body mic that confirms the cop’s story. I don’t know if Redus should have been shot, but he certainly wasn’t shot for making a single sarcastic remark.
