who the fuck cares? this is cute. don’t overkill shit with fights over stereotypes that cannot be budged.  it’s a stereotype.  that’s all it is.  just prove to your kids that it is just a stereotype and voila. done deal. nothing to worry about.  plus you should only be worried about this issue if you’re doing shopping for some baby clothes…

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but that doesn’t make every opinion valid or equally worth hearing.

I’m worried about this issue because I am shopping for baby clothes for my baby. The degree of gender stereotypes present in baby clothes and toys—and the utter lack of baby products that present alternative viewpoints on gender roles—is really frustrating. This isn’t just one set of shirts. This is pretty much true of the entire mainstream baby product industry.

You have to question how easy it is simply to buck a stereotype when that stereotype informs pretty much every single thing you try to buy for your child and is fairly prevalent in the society at large they will be raised in.
