“This is a compelling story. Unfortunately, 16 million unemployed Americans have compelling stories. Illegal aliens do not by dint of rule of law have the right to stay in the country, to work, to vote or to serve as a continuing endless bridge for more illegal aliens. Human interest makes for compassion and not policy. There are dozens of lawful entry visa points into the US including several for example for those facing certain persecution. If indeed, a ‘better life’ must be one of those categories then how many people would want entry and presumptive rights and benefits of US citizenship? It’s time to look at this issue through the prism of the poorest of Americans whose stories of unwanted competition by illegal aliens is the saddest and most underreported story in American journalism.”

My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant - Readers’ Comments - NYTimes.com
11 million Americans aren’t unemployed because of undocumented immigrants, asshat. Although I’m sure seeing people saying shit like this pleases our corporate overlords.
