During the World Cup of Softball gold medal game between the United States and Japan, Michele Smith of ESPN seemed to get a great kick out of one of the Japanese fans. When the excited fan decided to chill out a bit on the cheering and take a break, Smith made the brilliantly astute observation that “He’s, like, I need some rice, I need some sushi."
I bet Michele Smith of ESPN also meets any U.S. sports fan, tiring out from raucously waving their American flag and shouting “USA! USA!," with the same response: “He’s, like, I need some Big Macs, I need some coronary artery disease."
