Two men wearing t-shirts which read, ‘This shirt can say N*GGER because it is black” made an appearance at a peaceful protest against racial profiling in Wichita, Kansas. This coming within days of George Zimmerman’s acquittal of the shooting death of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin, makes their appearance a stinging reminder of racism in this country and the loss most of us felt after the acquittal. To add to that, the decision by the jury, came just after conservative Justices in the Supreme Court struck down a key provision in the Voting Rights Act.
