Her picture and the fact that she is happy with being obese is promoting obesity. If I was obese and saw this, I would think it would be ok to weigh 400+ lbs.
I think she’s promoting not gauging your self-worth by your weight and being happy with yourself regardless of your size. Your value as a human being is not dependent upon your weight, and that is a message that I think a lot of people truly need to internalize.
And she is not fat, she is OBESE. I’m not against having a little extra weight, but when you are as big as her, that is just a health problem. It’s like if she was anorexic and happy to be really skinny, that is not good is it?
Is it a health problem, though? Have you seen her medical records and know for a fact that she’s practically on her death bed due to her weight? No. So you’re pretending to care about her health, when you know absolutely zero about her actual health, because really you’re concerned about how she looks.
Also, a person with anorexia wouldn’t be happy about the size of their body because there is never a “thin enough” if you have anorexia. So…irrelevant analogy is irrelevant.
I’m not telling her how to live her life or anything, I’m just saying that obesity is a disease, it’s an addiction to food.
1) Yes, you are.
2) No, obesity is not an addiction to food, but let’s make shit up, because it makes us look smarter and less like we’re just judgmental asshats!
And having an extra couple hundred pounds weighing down your bones and having plaque in your heart, hey if your happy with that then more power to you. But your shaving off about 30-40 years off your life. Ignorance is bliss I guess…
30-40 years? Really? Someone here is ignorant, but it’s not Amber.
I’m just so tired of people going, “I’m just sooo concerned about her health,” when they don’t know anything about the person in question’s health—or about health, period, apparently—when the real issue is purely aesthetic. In this entire thread of people arguing the issue is Amber’s health, not a single person has raised a single valid health concern that actually applies to Amber. In fact, people have completely invented health claims in order to support their arguments, and how could completely made-up “health” bullshit possibly be helpful to anyone?
