Because if grown white men can’t call little black girls horrible things in a public forum, then how will little black girls learn to stand up for themselves, and the sexists and racists will win, amirite?
It kills me that even when [white, male] people know something is outrageously offensive and wrong, they will still go to incredible lengths to defend it AND attempt to shame and silence the people who criticize it because the important thing is that white men get to be heroes no matter what.
