Look at this dumb bitch’s article. She claims that deaf people who say they use email only, are probably scammers trying to steal your money. She’s not even deaf and she needs to shut her fucking mouth and sit down her ignorant ass. I never use my TTY or Videphone, I only use email. And I know plenty of Deaf folks who use email only. If you are not deaf or part of the deaf community, you don’t have the fucking right to say what deaf people do and don’t!!! Idiot.
I seriously have never known anyone who uses a TTY; the lady that wrote this article needs to do some actual research. Like, yeah there are scam artists out there who try and exploit this kinda thing, but this article invalidates every deaf person’s experience too.
People try and call me all the time, despite me saying I prefer texting/emailing. I can sorta talk on the phone but only if I know you very well (like, my mom) and even then it is pretty difficult. This is so frustrating.
That’s ridiculous! I have only ever used a TTY at a hospital. Literally, that’s it.
And if you’re deaf, but don’t know ASL, how else are you going to communicate to people that aren’t there with you?! And how is sending emails a scam? I don’t get that at all.
