Weiner Calls Out Republicans. Again.
During debate (such as it was) about HR 471, the Orwellian named school voucher program Scholarships for Opportunity and Results (SOAR) Act, which is the only piece of legislation that has been introduced by Republican Speaker John Boehner this session, Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner took to the floor to make the point that the Republicans were violating their own spending rules to pass this legislation. The acting speaker, Republican Rep. Charlie Bass, defended his party’s absurd hypocrisy by telling Weiner he was too late and calling for a vote over shouts of protest.
Our government is being run by unethical bullies. I know: No doy. But rarely is it as abundantly clear as it is in this clip.
