Socialized medicine was already a thing in Germany when Hitler came into power. Most of it was initiated before Hitler was even born. America still, even after Obamacare, doesn’t have actually socialized medicine. You still pay ungodly health insurance premiums—assuming you have health insurance—to someone like Blue Cross or Kaiser, right? Then you still don’t have socialized medicine.
The changes Hitler made to Germany’s already socialized healthcare system largely had to do with eugenics and sterilization programs and weird medical experiments. I know the PPACA is a long ass piece of legislation, and I admit, I haven’t read all of it, but I’m pretty sure if those things were in there, we’d know about it. And if you want to say it’s in there, I want you to provide specific quotes from the legislation that says, “We’re going to sterilize vagrants and other undesirables,” and not just, “RUSH LIMBAUGH SAID BLARGETY BLARGETY BLAR!!! FEAR!!! RAAAAGGGEEE!!!”
And for the record, I’ve seen the stuff about euthanasia and Action T4. You guys do realize that euthanasia is still illegal everywhere in America, right? A whopping 3 states have doctor-assisted suicide, but the only person killing you in these situations is YOU. The doctor just gives you the means to do it. But all that is totally separate from Obamacare, and Obamacare doesn’t have anything in it about systematically killing off people. If you can point to a place where it says, “Doctors will murder people if they are sick and it’s too expensive to help them get better or they are undesirables and it doesn’t matter if they are even sick at all they all just deserve to die,” in the legislation, be my guest. I will give you a virtual cookie for your efforts. But I have a feeling I’m going to get to keep all my imaginary cookies.
I’m just tired of reading this, “OBAMACARE IS JUST LIKE HITLERCARE!” and then when you ask why, they say something along the lines of, “SOCIALISM!” or “EUTHANASIA!” and I’m sitting there going, “Okay, so I know what Hitler did and maybe you do, too, but I’m not so sure you know what Obama is doing, and I think you need to lay off the fucking kool-aid.”
But maybe I’m wrong. So please. Someone point to where in the Obamacare legislation it enables anything on the scale of mass murder and sterilization. Otherwise, stop talking because it makes you sound ignorant.
