“Concerned parents” let the school know what was going on and insisted CPS get involved. The principal seemed reluctant to call CPS, but then the central office insisted, too.
1) CPS is already loaded down with cases of serious abuse and neglect. They do not have time to deal with this sort of paranoid, helicopter parent bullshit.
2) The panic over public transportation is largely because that’s how poor people get around and rich white people think all poor people are scary and criminal.
3) In other words, upper class, probably white people who have no idea how the rest of the world is because they’ve led such sheltered lives where they don’t know what actual child abuse is or how many kids take public transportation to school, need to stop calling CPS on people over things that aren’t abuse or neglect. Mind your own damn business.
