DC Metropolitan Police are investigating the shooting along with FBI agents from the FBI’s the National Capitol Response Squad.

We think it’s worth pointing out that, in this case, guns were not needed in order to subdue the suspect. Considering the gun control debate is nearly the center of attention again, driven by what appears to be a drastic increase in gun crime occurences in recent weeks, it seems likely that this incident could receive heavy attention from both politicians and pundits.
