There is a big difference between complaining about too much private sector experience and too shady private sector experience.
And I think what most people have an issue with when it comes to Ryan is the fact that he has so little experience with anything other than politics. After graduating college, he worked for the family construction company for a handful of years (I believe a whopping 6), and then before he was even 30, he was elected to the House. He’s spent most of his adult life being sheltered or being a politician…which is basically the same thing as being sheltered. What does someone like this know about the real world he so arrogantly lectures others about? What does someone like this know about the bootstraps he thinks others should pull themselves up by? It’s pretty rich.
The fact that he spent so little time in the real world is really beside the point. His positions on most issues are awful, regardless. But his lack of time spent in the real world certainly is the cherry on top of the stinking pile of Paul Ryan bullshit.
