This little asshole thought it’d be “cool” to put n***a in his url. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t think that shit is cute. He was asked extremely nicely to change it by one of my followers, but he decided to say it was a “bullying tactic” and refused to change…
You know, no matter what I say, no matter what point I try to prove, it’s “ignorant”. When I first saw about this, i thought it was some sort of joke. I got about twenty messages saying something like “LOL how exactly does one nig haha” or something of that manner. I’m a COMEDY blog, so I took it as a joke. ALSO, I saw that the website that put me out their had a photo going around which captioned “racist police” which WAS pretty funny in my opinion. So I took it as such, and said this ~alleged~ and basically being an asshole to everyone who were messaging me saying im(for example) “a racist cracker”, which was among other things. And yes I have the AUDACITY to apologize because I’m a huge dick and that’s what they do, apologize because they don’t see eye to eye with you.(that was sarcasm pointing it out because every sarcastic thing I’ve said has been taken PAST literal meaning) It’s the internet. Since blacks and whites(and others) are equals, we get the opportunity to use the same vocabulary. And to my followers, I have the AUDACITY to apologize for spamming your dash. Sorry for being sorry and such!
I’m just so sick of ignorant ass white people coming up with THE. WORST. excuses for using this term. This is a word that has been recognized for nearly two centuries as blatantly offensive, wherein the person who uses it does so to be deliberately hurtful and insulting toward the person it’s directed at. It’s a term white slave owners used to refer to their slaves; the word connotes a relationship between a white person and a black person of ownership. It’s a term that, yes, for a long time did mean “ignorant person,” because in a white supremacist society, calling someone a hateful term for black people meant “lacking intelligence” because white people thought all black people were lacking intelligence. You know, because all black people were considered to be genetically inferior to white people, the superior race. It’s not an accident that the word, which comes from Latin for black, came to mean ignorant. It’s very specifically because of white supremacy. Are you really so thick you can’t connect those very obvious dots?
Why—WHY—do some white people insist on being able to use this word? Why is it so important? Do you think it’s cute or something that you can use this word and shock people? Do you think it’s empowering to use a word that you’re not supposed to, that you’re somehow sticking it to “the man”—who, notably, is white, and therefore doesn’t give a shit whether you offend black people, whom the man has been sticking it to for 400 years—by using this term? Or do you secretly get pleasure out of using this term that is laden with a long history of racist contempt and hate, because on some level, you like feeling superior? Does it just gaul you that there is a word that might be off limits to you and as a white person, you firmly believe that nothing should be beyond the pale for you?
You seriously think that using a term that has a 400-year history of demonstrating white racial superiority, white supremacy, and black enslavement really has anything to do with black and white people being equal? Seriously? This is the argument you’re going with?
