…and POC have been told to get over it because it’s not that big a deal and aren’t you being a little overly sensitive, etc.
But cast a POC in a role that IS supposed to be a POC, but because they are important characters in a book, readers have assumed they are white because everyone knows POC can’t play important roles in a book, and watch the white people blow their tops.
